How it works
Three steps between your rental and an informed yes
01
Send the request.
Add the property and the applicant’s name and email, or share your property’s screening page.
02
The applicant does the rest.
They give their consent, pay the screening fee, and complete TransUnion’s identity check. You pay nothing.
03
You review and decide.
Review the reports, then approve or decline. Any notice to the applicant about your decision is yours to send. We put the template TransUnion publishes, and the contact details of each agency that furnished a report, in one place for you.
02
Pricing
One screening. One price. Nothing held back.
Every item, every time. The parts other services sell as upgrades are always included.
$38
per completed screening,
plus applicable sales tax,
paid by the applicant
Comparable full-file packages at the major platforms list at $39.99 to $55 per applicant. See the sources.
Every screening includes
No tiers, no add-ons, no upsells.
When you offer it: a bank income report from Plaid Check, prepared from the accounts the applicant chooses to connect. The applicant pays the same flat fee whether or not they connect a bank account.

Competitor prices as each provider publishes them on its own site, checked October 3, 2026.
* Notes and sources
* A conventional score is built to predict how someone repays borrowed money, which is a different question from how a tenancy goes. ResidentScore is TransUnion's model for the second question. TransUnion prepares and furnishes it. YieldShield does not calculate, retain, evaluate, or use it, and makes no decision from it. The full credit file comes with it either way.
Where the price comparison comes from
- RentSpree: from $39.99 per applicant ($20 in New York), plus $10 for Advanced Verifications.
- TurboTenant: $45 to $55 per applicant, depending on the landlord's plan.
- Avail: $55 per applicant, which Avail notes varies by state.
Applicant-paid prices as published by each provider on its own site, checked October 3, 2026. Those prices are set by those companies and can change. The rest of this table describes what screening packages commonly include, not any one provider.

Compliance
Every consent and certification, recorded on every request.
You decide, and any notice to the applicant comes from you. When you record a decline, Vantage has the pieces ready in one place: TransUnion's template, the contact details of each agency that furnished a report, and a link to each report. We record your acknowledgment that the notice is yours.
A file that holds up.
Every screening documents the authorization behind it and keeps the record. If anyone ever asks, the answer is already on file.
Applicants treated fairly.
Clear disclosures, a secure process, and their rights respected. It is the right way to treat the person paying the fee, and it protects you as much as them.
Built on TransUnion's ShareAble platform.
Every report is prepared and furnished by TransUnion or Plaid Check; you make every decision.
YieldShield Keep
Screening tells you who you are letting in. Keep covers what happens next.
Every tenant screening ends in a judgment call. The file looks reasonable, the references check out, and you sign a lease. But what happens if things don’t always work out?
Free, no commitment - you see the terms before anything binds.
